HANG - Hang has two different meanings. The first is to attach (or hang) something in a high position (e.g. on the wall or on a hook). In this case we use the verbs Hang-Hung-Hung.

BUT when Hang means to kill someone by putting a rope around someone's neck and leaving them in a high position without any support, we use the verbs: Hang-Hanged-hanged. This verb is typical of public executions in the past. (e.g. They hanged him in the main square.)

*) (Hang-Hung-Hung)懸掛

*) (Hang-Hanged-hanged) 以絞刑吊死

(Hang-Hung-Hung) to fasten or support something at the top leaving the other parts free to move, or to be held in this way

(Hang-Hanged-hanged) to kill someone, especially as punishment for a serious crime, by dropping them with a rope tied around their neck, or to die in this way
